Richard Gooden CHST, CSST
Richard Gooden is a seasoned Safety Specialist with more than a decade of hands-on experience advancing occupational safety and health across diverse, high-risk industries. He has earned a strong reputation for fostering safe work environments, minimizing risks, and ensuring compliance with stringent federal, state, and client safety regulations.
Throughout his career, Richard has worked extensively in construction, new construction (yellow iron), maintenance, painting and coating, mechanical, welding, abatement, and crane operations, with the majority of his experience rooted in oil fields and refinery environments. His expertise lies in developing and implementing effective safety programs, conducting in-depth training, and driving continuous improvement in workplace safety performance.
Richard holds CHST (BCSP) and CSST (ABC) certifications, an Industrial Technology Completion in Welding from Bakersfield College, and additional credentials in OSHA 30/10, Trenching and Excavation, and CPR/First Aid. A proud member of the Omega Nu Lambda Honor Society, he is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health, with an expected graduation in May 2026.
